Our talented pool of individuals includes those with extensive experience as hospitality operators, cutting edge IT developers, and those with a passion for customer care and getting things right. We are extremely proud of our team and the commitment they demonstrate on a daily basis.


 

Mike Day
Executive Chairman

Mike is responsible for corporate strategic development and creating new applications.

Previously Managing Director of Customised Contract Catering which he formed with Lou Willcock in 1991 and built to £7M annual sales with 400 staff operating in 65 locations. The company was sold to Granada plc in 1999. Other positions include Operations Director for David Lloyd Leisure prior to their sale to Whitbread, six years as Hospitality Director for Robert Maxwell's Pergamon Group, hotel manager with Kingsmead Hotels and senior positions with Grandmet Catering.

Mikes greatest achievement is reporting directly to Robert Maxwell for 7 years and leaving with his pension before he fell off his boat. Mike now has his own boat!

 
 
 

Lou Willcock (BSc Hons)
Founder and Director

Winner of the Shine Mentor of the Year 2011; listed in the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism 2011 by Women1st/People1st, Lou is responsible for building new client relationships. Previously Sales & Marketing Director of Customised Contract Catering which she formed with Mike Day in 1991, the company was sold to Granada plc in 1999.

Other industry positions held include Associate Lecturer in Marketing and Business Studies at Oxford Brookes University, and Sales Executive with Gardner Merchant prior to their sale to Sodexo. Lou is a Visiting Fellow and Mentor at Oxford Brookes University.

Her favourite thing is Musical Theatre although she can’t sing or dance.

 
 

Russel Joffe
Non Executive Director

Russel is a non-executive director and acts as a strategic advisor to the business drawing on his fast growth experience following his co-founding of the giraffe restaurant brand before the sale of the business across 48 sites to Tesco for £50M.

Russel also sits on other boards including Laurel Canyon Ventures, a multi brand restaurant group and as such provides incisive current thinking that is helping IndiCater growth in all hospitality sectors.

A family man, he can often be found with his wife Juliette exploring new concepts.

 
 

Bob Cotton OBE
Non Executive Director

Bob provides considerable experience and perspective to the board as former Chief Executive of the BHA (British Hospitality Association) where his understanding of the sector is second to none. He has a keen interest in procurement solutions and is committed to sharing industry best practice knowledge with our client and the IndiCater team.

Bob enjoys the beauty of living by the sea when he is not out travelling the UK on various speaker engagements and events.

 
 

David French (BSc CEng MIEE)
Technical Director

David joined IndiCater as Technical Director in 2011.

David has been at the forefront of technology innovation; initially with BT where David’s first major role was as head of technology for their subsidiary developing communications and data solutions for the financial services industry worldwide. This was followed by a period as Marketing Director for BT’s range of business phone systems including development, procurement and installation. David went on to build his own telemarking and automated voice response services company until it was sold after ten years to the Mail Marketing Group.

David’s hobbies are sailing and golf when he can find the time.

 
 

John Moss
Head of Technology

John has too many years IT experience than he cares to remember, starting out when computers were the size of small rooms, housed in even bigger rooms, and programs were written on sheets of paper, transferred to punch cards or paper tape before being loaded.

After nearly 20 years of ICL and IBM mainframe experience with GrandMet, he worked as an independent contractor with Tesco, Railtrack and Link Insurance before becoming IT Director for GoTravel Insurance until it was taken over by The AA, where he helped to manage the transition of systems and websites onto The AA platform. John has also recently held the post of Head of Web Development at Aon Risk Solutions before becoming Head of IT at Indicater

In his leisure time he likes to travel, play golf (member of Royal Ascot Golf Club) and watch football (season ticket holder at Reading FC) . 

 
 

Pat Day
Company Secretary

As Company Secretary, Pat supports the company with her extensive experience and knowledge in corporate governance. Pat’s function also includes personnel administration, employee benefits and management of the office space.

 
 

Corwyn Levett
Test Analyst

Corwyn joined IndiCater as a Test Analyst in June 2015, previously working for Microsoft as a Test Associate where he tested various games on Xbox, PC, phone and tablet. Corwyns primary role is to work side by side with the software developers in order to maintain quality assurance.

Outside of work Corwyn enjoys running and cycling, and practising piano. 

 
 

Abbas Kahn
Database Manager

Abbas works as a Database and SQL Developer supporting client databases. Abbas has previous experience of working with 3663 Bidvest, joining the team at IndiCater to redesign and maintain the client databases in line with the company strategy.

In his spare time Abbas enjoys boxing, paintballing and go Karting.

 
 

Lakshmi Peri
Developer

Lakshmi joined technical development team in 2011. She has a Master of Science degree In Information Technology and has 9 years of development experience in Microsoft and related technologies.

Since joining, Lakshmi has seamlessly integrated into IndiCater's development team and is responsible for development and testing enhancements to IndiCater's products range and services.

Lakshmi loves reading books and has special interest in crime & investigation series including Agatha Christie & Robin Cook.

 

 

Ruth Mills
Client Services Manager

Ruth has over 10 years account management experience working with clients across a diverse range of industries, from hospitality to electronics. Prior to joining IndiCater as our Client Account Manager in August, Ruth spent 5 years as an account manager at People 1st, the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism sector skills council, working with clients on their training and skills needs. Ruth's role at IndiCater is all about communicating with our clients and providing them with one point of contact.

Outside of work Ruth does ballet and loves to cook but her main passion is travelling. Ruth and her husband had a 12 month honeymoon visiting 19 countries and her ambition is to one day visit Antarctica.

 

 

Jackie Macdonald
Client Account Manager

Jax worked extensively in the Leisure and Financial sectors before taking a career break in 2003 to bring up her son Joe. She kick started her career again in 2007, joining IndiCater working with the Sales and Marketing team. Jax now supports the client account management team as a client account manager. With over 7 years’ experience at IndiCater, there is very little Jax doesn’t know about the company!

Away from work Jax spends her spare time playing golf, supporting her son Joe with his various sporting activities and enjoying a glass of vino with friends and family.

 

Tim Reed
Client Account Manager

Tim has come to us after 10 years in the hospitality trade, running Restaurants and Pubs within London and Sussex. He has spent the last four year looking after high net worth individuals on their large private yachts. Having recently relocated back to the UK he is keen to pair his experience as an account manager within a media agency with his experience of the hospitality sector.

When not in work Tim can be found on his bicycle or running along the Thames.

 

 

Jonathan Stevens
Sales Manager

Jonathan (or Jonny!) is one of IndiCater’s team of dedicated Client Account Managers. Jonny has day to day responsibility for the support and management of his client’s software applications. Before joining IndiCater, Jonny worked at Metro Bank as a Customer Service Representative. Whilst still at school, he came to IndiCater on work experience and now joins the company on a full time basis.

In Jonny’s spare time he is a professional juggler and a serious runner.

 

 

Charles C Mobbs (FiH)
Company Ambassador

Charles joined IndiCater as company Chairman in 2009.
His role now focuses on helping the team to grow the company, expanding the number of corporate clients using IndiCater's wide range of back of house management software. Charles is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and joins the company from one of the UK's leading hospitality software suppliers.

His career background has always been inside the hospitality industry, and includes previous management roles with Hilton Hotels. Charles is a keen golfer and cricket spectator (MCC member). He also enjoys good food, good wine and good company!

 

 

Helen Milton (Bsc Hons)
In Memorium
1977-2008

Helen was instrumental in building IndiCater into the company that it is today. Helen joined at the very start, and much of what exists is a direct result of her hard work and commitment. Words cannot express the void that Helen has left behind in the IndiCater team. Helen was much loved by all who knew her and is so much missed by us all. In the lovely words of a client:

"I am with Helen in my mind. I hear 'Good morning, IndiCater!' and I want to for all my life".
